Obidil
Obidil was formed in 2000. As all the members love heavy metal music, it became Obidil’s main direction but the band is open to other influences too. The lyrics talk about social and individual values and describe human feelings about experiencing life which is told through stories. In 2001 the band started to perform live and at the end of the same year recorded their first album The Magic Word which was published by On-Parole in 2002. In the next three years Obidil performed many concerts in Slovenia and worked on new material but in 2005 Gasper Kacar (keyboards) decided to leave. Keyboards were replaced by the sound of the second guitar by Rok Tomsic (Metalsteel). At about the same time, Obidil left On-Parole and started recording in the studio Ork in the following year. The band kept on its own direction and recorded ten songs. With all enthusiasm, playing in the band is also time consuming, so Andrej Cufer (bass guitar) decided to leave and Matej Susnik (Metalsteel) took his place. The second album named Stardust was published in 2008. In 2009 the video of Stardust was presented. The year 2010 was dedicated to individial projects but recently the band is preparing new material again.
Stories never end. Ends are new beginnings. The soul strikes against the rage again and dances it into the electric sound.
